Electric Unicycle Racing & Onewheel Racing Hit The Wick at Wheel Life Rally

Southwick, Mass | August 8th, 2026

The Wheel Life Rally returned on August 9, 2026, bringing highly anticipated electric unicycle racing and Onewheel racing to The Wick 338 in Southwick, Massachusetts — one of the most respected motocross venues in the country. This year’s event delivered demanding terrain, expanded competition formats, and a strong push from the community toward broader national participation.

For electric unicycle racers, the setting matters. The Wick’s soft, shifting soil is not your average park path — it pushes riders to maintain balance, adapt traction, and master throttle control on unpredictable dirt surfaces. In this context, Wheel Life Rally isn’t just another gathering — it’s a proving ground where skill and resilience meet community spirit.

Onewheel racers face similar challenges. The deep dirt, varied terrain, and natural features demand body positioning and board control that few practice areas provide. That’s part of what gives this rally an edge: PEV riding is tested under real off-road conditions.

A Multi-Format Weekend of Competition

Wheel Life Rally continues to embrace a variety of competitive elements for electric unicycle and Onewheel racers alike:

  • Off-road Electric Unicycle Racing

  • Onewheel Dirt Track Runs

  • Obstacle & Balance Courses

  • Flag Races & Skills Challenges

  • Jousting and Fun Competitions

This multi-event structure invites riders of different strengths and experience levels to take part — whether their focus is speed, technique, or creativity.

From Vision to Reality: Meet the Founders

Wheel Life Rally was co-founded by Showtyme and Erwin Greene, who envisioned an event that would bring the Northeast PEV scene together in a meaningful and challenging environment. What began during the COVID era as a small rider meetup has evolved into one of the region’s leading off-road PEV racing events.

Showtyme shares why the event exists:

“Riding PEVs definitely has a positive effect on your life. Going through personal changes made me realize how important community is — and events like this build that in a real way.”

Her focus on connection and opportunity helps shape the identity of the rally: competition backed by support and shared experience.

Industry Support Helps Fuel Growth

Support from industry partners like One Stop Board Shop has also helped Wheel Life Rally mature and grow. Owner Brian Lindy, who sits on the rally council as Onewheel Director, recounts how his involvement began:

“Erwin reached out and asked if we wanted to help build a dedicated off-road platform for riders here in the Northeast. From there, we doubled Onewheel attendance and expanded to two days of events — and there’s still so much more opportunity.”

This level of partnership not only contributes to rider experiences but also strengthens the infrastructure for electric unicycle and Onewheel racing across the region.

Why Events Like This Matter

Events like Wheel Life Rally are about more than competition. Riders frequently talk about the relationships and memories formed at gatherings like this — connections they may never have made without a shared love of personal electric vehicles.

Whether you’re a seasoned competitor or a newcomer to off-road riding, the rally provides a platform for:

  • Racing against others

  • Improving technique on challenging terrain

  • Building community with peers

  • Sharing experiences with riders from across the Northeast and Canada

That combination of factors is what keeps participants returning year after year.

What’s Next for the PEV Racing Scene

With Wheel Life Rally securing a strong foothold in 2026, organizers and partners are already looking ahead to further expansion — more spectators, more sponsorship, and greater participation across the electric unicycle and Onewheel communities. Riders from across the country are paying attention, and there’s momentum building toward a more interconnected off-road PEV race calendar.

How to Follow the Event

Schedules, updates, and live moments will be shared through official Wheel Life Rally pages and social channels as the weekend approaches. Race highlights, rider stories, and behind-the-scenes footage will continue to roll out long after the final lap, giving new audiences a chance to experience the energy even if they can’t be there in person.
