King of the Hammers 2026 Hosts USA EUC Sanctioned Pro Championship Time Trial on Chocolate Thunder

JOHNSON VALLEY, CA

In 2026, electric unicycle racing returns to one of the most iconic and demanding off-road motorsport stages in the world for its second consecutive year at King of the Hammers.

As part of the official USA EUC national sanctioning body, the event will once again bring national-level competition to Johnson Valley, California, placing elite riders in front of thousands of on-site spectators and a global livestream audience reaching into the millions.

Chocolate Thunder. Three Days. One Standard.

The 2026 race will be held on the legendary Chocolate Thunder climb, run three days in a row as a time-trial competition.

Each rider will complete the course individually against the clock.
The fastest time sets the benchmark, and all other competitors will be scored based on how far behind that leading time they finish.

This follows the official USA EUC Championship points formula:

  • First place establishes the reference time

  • All other riders receive points based on their time gap to the leader

  • Lower points indicate a closer finish and stronger performance

  • Every result directly impacts national standings

No subjective judging.
No penalties or multipliers.
Just time, precision, and consistency on one of the most brutal climbs in off-road motorsports.

PRO Class Only

Due to the extreme terrain and sustained physical demand of Chocolate Thunder, the 2026 King of the Hammers USA EUC race will be open to PRO-class riders only.

This restriction reflects:

  • The technical difficulty of the course

  • The consequences of failure on steep, loose rock faces

  • The endurance required to compete across three consecutive days

  • The safety standards required in a high-exposure motorsport environment

Only riders meeting USA EUC Pro classification and safety requirements will be eligible.

A National Championship Stop

As a sanctioned USA EUC event, King of the Hammers 2026 will:

  • Follow the official USA EUC Rulebook and Safety Standards

  • Use standardized timing and scoring

  • Award national championship points

  • Count toward the 2026 season standings

Every competitor will be ranked using the same objective formula used across all USA EUC Championship events nationwide.

A Global Stage for the Sport

King of the Hammers is one of the most watched off-road motorsport events in the world, with:

  • Thousands of spectators lining the course in Johnson Valley

  • A professionally produced livestream viewed by millions

  • International media coverage

This places electric unicycle racing in front of the largest audience the discipline has ever reached.
